Alkyd blend paint as the topcoat – is 120μm+ thick enough?

Our factory has a batch of equipment for which the topcoat needs to be an alkyd-based topcoat with a thickness of 120μm+. I would like to ask everyone: isn’t 120μm a bit thick? The client who will use the equipment isn’t planning to install it until July 2019, and the equipment will be delivered by the end of this month. It’s been over half a year now, and with such a thick layer, the paint should have cracked and peeled significantly by now. Does anyone here know how to deal with this? By the way, the weather is cold now, so the paint dries very slowly. Are there any other ways to use this alkyd-based paint in order to speed up its drying time?
The paint manufacturer can provide guidance. We use AkzoNobel International brand paint, and there are painting guidelines provided
Three bases and two surfaces; 20–30 microns per coating application – a requirement of 120 is not reasonable. In fact, a thick paint film is not good!
We buy all our paint from the hardware store, with no guidance provided: lol
The total thickness is required to be 250μm, with 120 for the topcoat. I really don’t know what the design team was thinking!
