When is normalizing plate used?

Some wet H2S corrosion equipment is designed with normalized plates, but no such requirement can be found in GB150! Please give me some advice!

For HG 20581 P65, normalizing is required; steel plates that have undergone normalizing have fine grains, and this process also helps to eliminate residual stresses as well as reduce the tendency for stress corrosion. Most domestic designs are based on ASME standards; for example, for materials such as SA516, according to ASME requirements, they must be supplied in a normalized state when their thickness is greater than 40 mm. If a notched toughness test is conducted on plates with a thickness of less than 40 mm, they too must be normalized.
