It’s not that strict, right? If it’s a leg-type support, there are also considerations to be made regarding avoidance – the legs cannot rest on the coil. For 2D diagrams, you can use rotated semi-circular tubes copied at close intervals from the center of the previous circle.

If there are 20 loops, 40 half-circles need to be drawn, which is a considerable amount of work, especially for the inner loops with smaller radii. The sand in those areas has to be baked and crushed as well. Moreover, even if you draw spiral patterns, it’s still impossible to implement them in practice, so it’s all in vain
