Question for help: Have any experts in this field conducted research on the LCC method?

The department head wants to evaluate the economic viability of using equipment from the perspective of LCC (Life Cycle Cost). A task was assigned to prepare a form for this evaluation; many documents were consulted in the preparation process, but no clear direction was found. Although a form was created, it seems to lack practicality, and it is difficult to determine which departments need to be involved. I would like to ask the experts in this field whether there are any systematic materials available for learning and improvement?
