Are pressure gauges, thermometers, and level gauges considered special equipment? Including local and remote.
Pressure gauges, thermometers, and level gauges are all connected to special equipment and must be monitored through these instruments. This instrument must be inspected on schedule; it should be considered a special type of equipment.
For quality supervision and control, the equipment housings should fall under the Special Inspection Institute, while safety accessories such as instruments should be under the Metrology Institute
Gauge pressure meters, thermometers, and level gauges are considered instruments. . According to TSG21-2016, the scope of pressure vessels applicable includes ① the pressure vessel body, ② safety accessories, and ③ instruments. This forms a complete pressure vessel. Pressure vessels are considered special equipment. It includes a pressure gauge, thermometer, and level gauge. However, it cannot be said solely that pressure gauges, thermometers, and level gauges belong to special equipment; they can also be installed on devices that are not pressure vessels. For example, a mercury thermometer is a type of thermometer; you can’t really call it a pressure vessel, right? The 2014 version of the \"Catalogue of Special Equipment\" includes safety accessories, but does not mention pressure gauges, thermometers, or level gauges.
The Greater Capacity Regulations classify pressure gauges, thermometers, level gauges, etc. as instruments.
