Can the fire arrestor’s fire-blocking core be cleaned using fire?
Is the flame arrester coked? We usually blow it with steam, then use nitrogen and reinstall it
It’s best not to need it. Personal suggestion: you can use bubbles (slightly acidic), steam, water flushing (be careful with water pressure), air blowing, or replace the flame arrestor plate
It cannot be burned; first of all, the fire retardant core should be checked every six months. Check the flame arrestor layer for defects such as blockages, deformation, or corrosion. The clogged fire arrestor layer should be cleaned thoroughly to ensure that each opening remains unobstructed; any deformed or corroded fire arrestor layer should be replaced. When cleaning the core components of the flame arrester, high-pressure steam, non-corrosive solvents, or compressed air should be used for cleaning; sharp hardware brushes must not be employed. When reinstalling the flame arrestor, the gaskets should be replaced, and it must be ensured that the sealing surfaces are clean and undamaged, with no air leaks.
It must not be burned! We have burned them before, and the iron sheet layer in the middle tends to burn through very easily (forming a large hole). It can be washed with steam water. Alternatively, the stainless steel core can be placed in a chemical cleaning tank for cleaning. It works very well. If it can’t be cleaned or fixed, then don’t wait any longer – just buy a new one.
