Question: In GB150, why is it required that when using steel pipes specified in the GB/T9948 and GB/T6479 standards, pipes of grades 10# and 20#, as well as 20# and 16Mn with an outer diameter of not less than 70 mm and a wall thickness of not less than 6.5 mm, must undergo impact tests at corresponding temperatures?
This represents an increased requirement compared to the steel pipe standards; you can compare it with the provisions regarding impact tests in 9948 and 6479. Requiring successful impact testing to ensure toughness
According to the standards GB/T9948 and GB/T6479-2000, the impact test is conducted at room temperature in both cases; moreover, GB/T6479-2000 specifies a U-shaped impact test, which is not in line with the requirements of GB150.
It must be required based on the operating conditions······:P
