Is the material of the shims used during equipment installation always cast iron? Shims made of cast iron cannot be positioned using spot welding; why not use shims made of cast steel or other materials?
The shims used in my equipment here are all made of ordinary steel plates
There’s no standard that requires the use of cast iron, right? :P
Generally, Q235A steel plate material is used
Why did the original poster say that? Who told you it’s cast iron?
Yes, where was that said? Isn’t cast iron generally not used for shims?
Hearing for the first time that cast iron is used for shims – you might as well use porcelain tiles or pottery pots:D
They are all made from steel plates; where is it said that cast iron should be used?
They are all original A3 steel plates that have been cut into sheets of different thicknesses; for precision equipment, copper sheets of various thicknesses are mostly used
I’ve never heard of using cast iron for shims; we always use Q235
