Guys, for pressure vessels, how are the test temperature for pressure resistance tests determined, and how is the allowable stress of the vessel components at that test temperature determined? . Forgive me, I’m a beginner
The test temperature is the temperature of the test medium; refer to the allowable stress table for 150
The test temperature is in accordance with Article 11.4.9.3 of GB/T150.4; for the allowable stress, 0.9 times the yield strength is used for hydrostatic testing, and 0.8 times the yield strength is used for pneumatic testing.
The temperature for hydraulic testing is usually in the tens of degrees Celsius, and the relevant allowable stresses are specified in the standards
It was checked in GB150; generally, this isn’t checked – just a coefficient is selected, as the ratio of allowable stresses has little impact.
The temperature is generally room temperature; the corresponding stress value should be obtained from the allowable stress table in GB150.2. If the water temperature used in the test is low, pay attention to the requirements specified in 11.9.4.3 of GB150.4
