What are the effects of a long-term deviation between the compressor speed and the set speed? In summer, when the water cools down, the temperature rises; this leads to poor performance in the methanol synthesis reaction, a higher circulation rate, and an inability of the compressor to maintain its rotational speed. What happens if the rotational speed is not set lower, and if there is a difference of 200 to 300 revolutions per minute between the actual speed and the set speed over an extended period of time? What impact does this have on the compressor?
If the speed error is caused merely by temperature issues, I think it’s understandable and it shouldn’t be a serious problem. The main cause is likely an insufficient amount of pre-cooling in your unit; this results in a decrease in the molecular weight of the incoming air, which in turn leads to insufficient suction at the same speed. Nevertheless, it is still recommended that you address the issue of insufficient cooling capacity in front of the machine as soon as possible, as this will actually reduce the load on the unit! :Victory: Personal suggestion, for reference only!
It depends on whether it falls within the scope of application. If it’s beyond the range, then it probably won’t work. For high-speed compressors, there are upper and lower limits for the critical speed; if it is outside this range, it doesn’t matter. If it’s at low speed, as long as it doesn’t overspeed, it doesn’t matter. For reference.
