Is it worthwhile to replace the heat pipes in a heat pipe waste heat boiler? The waste heat steam boiler has a low thermal efficiency, and the equipment has been in use for about fifteen years. Periodic cleaning and maintenance of the steam drum are carried out, and it is equipped with a water treatment system. Visual inspection of the heat pipe’s appearance reveals no obvious defects. Please provide a plan and suggestions.
Heat pipes can be disassembled; the finned tubes can be taken out for inspection, dust cleaning, repair, or replacement.
