Does the sidewall plate-type lifting lug (SP type) have no requirement for minimum shell thickness?

This post was last edited by kareale88 on 2019-3-4 20:16. In the specifications for lugs, there is no requirement regarding a minimum thickness for the shell in the case of side-panel type lugs; therefore, is it necessary to conduct calculations whenever such lugs are used?
The side wall plate lugs have never had any requirement regarding the minimum thickness of the housing; it is only necessary to specify that they can withstand vertical loads only.
Does that mean that calculation is required whenever this type of lifting lug is used?
It seems that there is no SP type that can be directly used according to clause 5.1.2 of the 18th edition of the new standards; does every type require verification?
Is this SP hook used to lift the entire device? :'(
Where can I buy side wall plate-type lugs of type SP-1-3-8?
The dimensions specified in the standards are very detailed, allowing one to create it on their own
