Gentlemen, I have a question: if my equipment requires 2 heat treatment processes during production, with a holding time of 2 hours for each process. So what is the minimum simulation heat treatment time in hours? ? 2 hours or 4 hours?
Time is cumulative; it should be 4 hours.
Minimum simulated heat treatment is akin to a tower that has a high tendency to suffer from cold cracking and therefore requires preheating and heat treatment; however, it’s not possible to carry out heat treatment right after welding. The welds formed after the first welding step must also be subjected to heat treatment along with the other welds during each heat treatment cycle. To ensure the quality of the post-weld heat treatment, samples that have undergone post-weld heat treatment are necessary. By comparing the shortest-duration post-weld heat treatment samples with those that require the longest treatment time, this is how simulated post-weld heat treatment is carried out.
