Currently, the **Rules for Assessing Special Equipment Inspectors** issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine stipulate that special equipment inspectors are divided into inspectors and senior inspectors, with two levels in total and 17 assessment items ； **The \"Rules for the Assessment of Personnel Specializing in Non-Destructive Testing of Special Equipment\" issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine stipulate that non-destructive testing personnel are classified into senior (Level III), intermediate (Level II), and junior (Level I) categories. There are a total of 7 testing methods and 12 assessment items. Inspectors and senior non-destructive testing personnel are assessed by organizations commissioned by the department under the State Council responsible for the supervision and management of special equipment safety, which then issues qualification certificates ； Intermediate and junior non-destructive testing personnel have their examinations organized by the appropriate examination institutions designated by the provincial quality and technical supervision departments, which then issue qualification certificates. The renewal of inspection personnel’s certificates is carried out through review ； The renewal of certificates for non-destructive testing personnel is carried out alternately through examination-based renewal and review-based renewal, depending on the validity period of the certificate. Currently, inspectors mainly include non-destructive testing personnel; in the future, they may also include physical and chemical testing personnel, among others. The requirements for inspection and testing personnel mainly include technical proficiency in inspection and testing as well as good professional ethics. Personnel engaged in inspection and testing must possess the basic and specialized knowledge required for such work, as well as an understanding of and ability to apply the safety technical standards related to inspection and testing. They also need to have certain experience in inspection and testing, along with the capability to use the relevant instruments and equipment. Persons engaged in inspection and testing work must possess certain educational qualifications, technical titles, and work experience; for example, the \"Rules for the Assessment of Special Equipment Inspectors\" issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision stipulate the eligibility requirements for those who wish to become special equipment inspectors. II. Currently, the management of inspection and testing qualifications, personnel transfers, and changes to qualification certificates is handled through industry organizations in the inspection sector, making use of information network technology to oversee changes in the workplaces of inspection and testing personnel. The departments responsible for the supervision and management of the safety of special equipment, as well as relevant agencies and organizations, can keep track of the flow of inspection and testing personnel, and be aware of any changes in the qualifications of the staff at various inspection and testing institutions. The provision that inspection and testing personnel must be licensed by special equipment inspection and testing agencies to carry out such work applies only to those working in inspection agencies and in agencies that provide testing services specifically for the production, operation, use, and inspection of special equipment.
