I currently have an atmospheric pressure rectangular tank with dimensions of 1000*5000 and a height of 4000; it has a top cover that is bolted to the tank body, while the bottom plate is welded to the tank body and then supported by a platform. I would like to ask the experts: 1. Can the methods used for calculating reinforcement requirements and spacing for atmospheric pressure tanks be applied to calculate those values for this rectangular tank as well? 2. The top cover is bolted to the cylinder – how is the number of bolts determined? Is it calculated based on the rectangular flange of a pressure vessel at normal pressure? (If so, then does the reinforcement at the top edge not need to be considered?) ) 3. If the angle steel used for reinforcing the top edge is 50*50*5, can holes be drilled in it directly to attach bolts? Please give me some advice! ! Thank you! !
Just calculate using standard atmospheric pressure
8mm. Vertical reinforcement using channel steel No. 22: one piece with a length of 625 mm and another with a length of 5000 mm; in addition, one piece with a length of 1000 mm. Three additional layers are added in the vertical direction. Channel steel No. 16 is sufficient.
How is the bolt calculated? Can edge-reinforced angle steel be connected by drilling holes directly?

Doesn’t this need to be calculated using the rectangular flange beforehand?
