Type II wet hydrogen sulfide corrosion: Can the corrosion environment for Type II wet hydrogen sulfide corrosion be free of water? In version 20 of 20581, 6.8.2 explicitly refers to free water, while 6.8.3 only mentions the liquid phase; there is a clear difference between the two. SH/T3193-2017 defines both as liquid water. I don’t know which one to use? I remember posting it in the Corrosion section before; I don’t know how it ended up in the Process forum:L

I think the same way, but in the new version 20581-2020, there is a difference between sections 6.8.2 and 6.8.3: the clause regarding free water falls under 6.8.2, while it isn’t mentioned in 6.8.3. Since these two clauses are presented side by side, this confusion arises.
