The requirements for non-destructive testing of lugs as specified in HG/T21574-2018 \"Code for Design and Selection of Lugs for Chemical Equipment\" are shown in the figure. How should the statement \"Except for the weld joints of the internal rib plates in shaft-type lugs, all other weld joints must also undergo 100% magnetic particle or penetrant testing\" be understood? “Does “the remaining weld joints” refer solely to the other weld joints of the shaft-type lugs, or does it include all weld joints such as those of the plate-type lugs, side wall plate-type lugs, and tail lugs?
I believe that “the remaining weld joints” refer to all the weld joints of all types of lugs, such as shaft-type lugs, plate-type lugs, side-wall type lugs, and tail lugs; in our design, we require that the welds of these lugs all meet PT standards.

Of course, among all the welding joints of various types of lugs, the most, most important ones are those that connect to the equipment’s housing. For small equipment weighing three or two tons, the lifting lugs are generally not a major issue. However, for lifting lugs on important reactors, towers, etc., our company requires 100% surface inspection, and the materials are evaluated based on the standards applicable to primary pressure-bearing components
