Lanshi Heavy Equipment completed the delivery of two demethanization units, which are the core equipment for the deep processing project of natural gas in the Lunnan area of China National Petroleum Corporation’s Tarim Oil Field. In May this year, Lanshi Heavy Equipment’s Xinjiang branch successfully delivered these two demethanization units, thereby laying a solid foundation for the timely completion of the project. On December 18, the project developer, Xinjiang Bazhou Tarim Energy Co., Ltd., sent a letter of gratitude, expressing high praise for Lansi Heavy Equipment’s delivery of equipment that met high standards and quality requirements, as well as for its ability to fulfill contracts and its commitment to excellence in craftsmanship. This project is a key initiative of the Tarim Oilfield Company aimed at enhancing efficiency and productivity. It is designed to process 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year, with an expected annual output of 606,000 tons of ethane, 303,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas, and 61,000 tons of stable light hydrocarbons. It plays a significant role in promoting steady economic development and structural adjustment in the region. The demethanizer is the core equipment of the project’s ethane recovery unit; it is used to separate methane from natural gas and purify light hydrocarbons such as ethane, thereby providing raw materials for downstream ethylene production. Each unit of the equipment weighs approximately 440 tons and has a total length of 65 meters. Due to its large size and excessive weight, coupled with traffic restrictions on certain roads in Xinjiang, the transportation process is lengthy and the conditions for transport are challenging. The Xinjiang company planned ahead by formulating an implementation plan that involved segmented manufacturing in the factory followed by overall assembly on-site. Leveraging its strong technical expertise, extensive experience in manufacturing heavy equipment, and rigorous quality control systems, it delivered the equipment to high standards and with high quality. This equipment delivery represents another high-quality collaboration between Lanchi Heavy Equipment and the client, following the construction of two demethanization towers for the first phase of the project in 2020 (the natural gas ethane recovery project at CNPC’s Tarim Oil Field). It further underscores the strong foundation of their partnership and its positive development trend. Lanshi Heavy Equipment will actively fulfill its responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise, make full use of the advantages in equipment manufacturing at its Xinjiang base, and contribute more to ensuring energy security and promoting high-quality development of the regional economy.
