Ordinary air tanks, generally the EHA500 cylinder will be rolled and welded into a tube. Now I don't want to have a cylinder welded, I want to use a standard seamless steel pipe, but is there a matching size? The only outer diameter of the tube is 508, the wall thickness is 9, but it will cause the inside and outside to be misaligned (some processing methods for 150, at least the plate thickness on one side can cover the other side). I would like to ask if this form can be used, how to deal with the butt joint, and how to choose the nominal diameter when calculating?
If the cylinder body is steel pipe, the head can be made of EHB.
If you want to insist on using it, then enter the actual amount and calculate it separately according to the parts.
EHB is not that big. We need to make a non-standard DN500 head, or use a DN500 pipe cap.
Why do you not want to weld the cylinder? Ordinary air tanks can be rectified casually, and there will be no weird requirements like using only pipes. If you have to use a cylinder, the head manufacturer can usually make it according to the offset size by a few millimeters. If it doesn't work, the most you can do is to pay for the mold. You can also consider using a dish-shaped head. If the thickness allowance is enough, Baman can weld it and conduct flaw detection without causing any trouble.
