The formulation of the \"Technical Requirements for Preventing Low-Temperature Brittle Fracture in Pressure Vessels\" (T/CMES 16004-2022) will provide design guidelines based on fracture mechanics for preventing low-temperature brittle fracture in pressure vessels and their constituent components, as well as corresponding technical requirements for manufacturing such vessels. This will expand the range of materials that can be used in pressure vessels, reduce manufacturing costs, and address the current issue of no suitable materials available for mobile pressure vessels at -40°C.
