Reposted from: Chemical Equipment Design Technology Center Station SW6-2011 V5.0 Patch 3 Release (20230320), Software Distribution Department of the Center Station, Chemical Equipment Design Technology Center Station. Published on March 21, 2023, at 10:40 in Shanghai. Patch installation method: Standalone version: Download and extract the patch installation package, open the “Standalone Version” folder, copy all files, and paste them into the SW6 installation directory (default: D:SW6-2011), overwriting the existing files. Online version: Download and extract the patch installation package, then open the “Online Version” folder. 1. Copy the “SW6-2011S” folder and paste it to overwrite the installation directory on the SW6 server side (the default is D:SW6-2011S). 2. Copy the “SW6-2011W” folder (if it exists), and paste it to overwrite the installation directory of the SW6 client (the default being D:SW6-2011W). Note: When overwriting on the server side, it is necessary to ensure that no clients are using SW6; otherwise, the overwrite may fail. Reverse flanges – addition of calculation and output for combined stresses. 2. Vertical vessels: (1) Rigid ring supports; the elastic modulus E of the vessel material in the formula for the vessel’s natural vibration period T1 should be determined based on the type of material used for the cylinder, rather than being specified as that of a sheet metal ; (2) Standard rigid ring supports were selected, but the calculation report indicated non-standard rigid ring supports; this has been corrected ; (3) The b4 value in the database of Type C standard ear-type supports was incorrect and has been corrected. 3. The calculated pressure used in the internal pressure calculation for the spherical head did not include the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid column; this has been corrected. 4. Local stress: (1) Calculation of local stress – if one of the nozzles in the same data file exceeds the applicable range of the standards, repeated calculations will result in the calculation report pages showing the previous calculation results overlaid again; these results have been corrected ; (2) When performing local stress calculations according to the CSCBPV-TD001-2013 method, the absolute values of Mz and My should be used in the formulas for calculating αMz and αMy; this has been corrected. 5. The yield strength of material 5083 cannot be found for thicknesses between 5 and 50 mm ; The allowable stress for material 6061 (T6 welded) cannot be found ; 6. Fixed tube sheet heat exchangers: (1) For U-shaped bellows expansion joints, regardless of whether the bellows material is in an annealed state or a shaped state, the calculation report will show \"Bellows shaping strain\"” ; (2) For type e tube sheets, the design temperature of the bolts for the matching tube box flanges shall be the higher of the design temperatures of the tube side and the shell side. 7. Tower equipment: (1) The allowable stress value for loose flanges was incorrect; it has been corrected ; (2) When calculating the minimum test pressure, the allowable stress to be used for bolted flat covers should be the lower stress value, which has already been adjusted ; (3) When determining the allowable stress at the skirt weld at the design temperature, the design temperature shall be that of the first section of the cylinder ; (4) When the skirt is butted to the shell, or the skirt overlaps the lower head, the allowable stress of the weld joint shall be the smaller of the allowable stress of the lower head material at the design temperature and the allowable stress of the skirt material at the design temperature ; (5) The formula for the minimum mass of the column in the calculation book is incorrect, but the result is correct ; (6) A crash sometimes occurred during the calculation of the pressure-variation section outside the tower; it has been fixed. 8. Opening reinforcement: (1) Within the scope of application of the pressure area method, the effective thickness of the reinforcement ring must be more than 1.5 times the effective thickness of the shell. The shell thickness value here is actually the thickness of the pipe fitting; it was incorrect and has been corrected ; (2) For the extension length within the nozzle, the influence of shell corrosion margin does not need to be considered; it has been corrected. 9. For bolted flat covers, a warning should be given when the thickness after rounding exceeds the upper limit of the material’s thickness. 10. For floating-head heat exchangers, when the diameter of the rear tube box differs from that of the shell, an error occurred in the diameter used for calculating the flange of the rear tube box; this has been corrected. 11. For thin-walled convex end caps under internal pressure as specified in Chapter 23 of HG/T20582-2020, if δ/L

Why does the calculation sheet for heat exchangers with expansion joints crash after applying updates and patches?
May I ask, what’s the situation – is the encryption module not plugged in or damaged?
