The Static Equipment 3D Intelligent Assistance Design System (SE3D) was developed by snec; it is a design system suitable for the creation of custom static equipment in the pressure vessel industry. It features functions such as the import and export of design parameters from upstream and downstream processes, 3D parametric modeling, reuse of past project cases, integration of equipment information, and generation of 2D drawings of the final products. It also offers the capability to expand the types of equipment supported, thereby meeting the design needs associated with the wide variety of equipment types found in petrochemical facilities. The SE3D system supports intelligent, parameter-driven 3D design for common equipment such as horizontal tanks, vertical tanks, towers, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and spherical tanks. The main interface of SE3D consists of a display window, toolbar, assembly structure tree, and node graph list. The system includes modules for cylinders, heads, skirts, pipe ends, tower top hangers, lugs, etc. Designers can select the appropriate parameters to quickly create a 3D model and generate detailed 2D design drawings as required by the project.
After the equipment design is completed in the SE3D system, 2D CAD drawings can be generated directly to meet the requirements for registration, corporate archiving, and equipment manufacturing； 3D models can be used for generating explosion diagrams, simulation training, and digital factory operations and maintenance. The SE3D system is not only an innovative design platform for 3D modeling of equipment, but it also incorporates all relevant information about the equipment into the 3D models, thereby bringing these models to life and enabling the flow of equipment-related data.
