Local high-frequency quenching involves passing high-frequency current through the metal area to be treated, causing it to heat up rapidly to a certain temperature and then cool down quickly, thereby hardening the surface. This process is mainly divided into three steps: preheating, quenching heating, and cooling. Preheating is done to reduce thermal stress. Quenching involves heating the material to the austenitization temperature, while cooling is achieved by using water, oil, or other cooling media to rapidly lower the temperature, thereby causing martensite to form on the metal surface and achieving a hardening effect. .
