By referring to the B curve for the external pressure stress coefficient of S30408 in GB/T150.3, the maximum temperature is 650 degrees; however, when using SW6 for external pressure calculations and entering a design temperature of 650 degrees, an error message is displayed stating that the temperature specified for the material’s external pressure strain coefficient B curve is outside the allowable range! What is the reason?
The material is being used at a temperature above that allowed for S30408!
The view from upstairs might differ a bit from 150
What is your basis? How to interpret the two appendices in GB/T150.3?
The external pressure calculation for SW6 is based on ASME guidelines, without considering high-temperature fatigue

For the SW6 internal and external pressure curve material, once the temperature exceeds the creep temperature, it is treated as a temperature excess condition
