Tutorial on Annual Inspections of Pressure Vessels 1: What is an Annual Inspection of Pressure Vessels? An annual inspection of pressure vessels is a regular self-inspection required by TSG21-2016, the \"Safety Technical Supervision Regulations for Fixed Pressure Vessels\". It includes an assessment of the safety management status of the pressure vessels, an inspection of the vessels themselves and their operating conditions, as well as a check of the safety accessories used with these vessels.       The regulations require that the user entity conduct at least one annual inspection of the pressure vessels in use each year.  01 Who is responsible for the annual inspection of pressure vessels? According to Article 7.1.5.2 of TSG21-2016 \"Regulations on Safety Technical Inspection of Fixed Pressure Vessels\", the annual inspection can be carried out by: 1) safety management personnel of the entity that uses the pressure vessel, who organize professionally trained workers to carry out the inspection; or 2) a qualified special equipment inspection agency, which can also be entrusted with this task.       Therefore, the using unit can carry out annual inspections on its own. Consequences of failing to conduct annual inspections on pressure vessels: 1. It violates Article 7.1.5.2 of TSG21-2016 and Article 2.7.2 of TSG08-2017 ；        2. Annual inspections of pressure vessels are not required; during periodic inspections, the inspection interval for such equipment can be shortened ；        3.
