These heat exchangers were designed and manufactured by Lansi Heavy Equipment Heat Exchanger Company. This project utilizes next-generation compressed air energy storage technology to store electrical energy in the form of liquefied air at normal pressure, low temperature, and high density, thereby solving the problems associated with air storage and constant-pressure release. Once operational, the project will become the world’s leading demonstration project in the field of liquid air energy storage, in terms of power generation capacity as well as energy storage scale. The heat exchange company manufactured 14 heat exchangers for a project, using metal plates as the heat transfer elements; these are primarily used for energy storage and recovery. Each unit is 5.3 meters long, 4.7 meters wide, 3.2 meters high, and weighs over 60 tons. It occupies less space and has a higher energy storage density. It offers advantages such as the ability to store energy on a large scale for extended periods, energy savings and low environmental impact, efficient operation, and reliable safety, with flexible and diverse application scenarios. During the development process, the heat exchange company exercised strict control over various aspects such as plate design and overall machine structure design, manufacturing processes, prototype production, and performance testing. It formulated implementation plans to organize production in a safe and orderly manner. Each production workshop made full use of the role of Party member vanguard teams and youth assault teams, keeping a close eye on the product development progress. Facing high temperatures and scorching heat, they focused on ensuring quality and meeting delivery deadlines. Thanks to their strong technical expertise, mature production processes, scientific production management, and rigorous quality assurance systems, they successfully completed the manufacturing task within 6 months, earning high recognition and praise from customers. The completion and delivery of this batch of products has enhanced the heat exchange company’s capabilities in research, development, design, and manufacturing of heat exchange equipment for air energy storage applications, and has expanded the range of applications for the company’s fully welded products. The heat exchange company stated that it will earnestly implement the concept of green, low-carbon, and high-quality development, actively promote the widespread use of new technologies and products in the field of air energy storage, and contribute to achieving the \"dual carbon\" goals.
