It’s really timely that this standard revision has been implemented! With an increasing number of high-sulfur gas fields being developed in China, the new version of the standards takes into account the operation and maintenance experience gained from recent gas fields such as Luojiazhai and Dukouhe-Qilibei, making it more suitable to the actual conditions in Chinese fields compared to the old version. There is still over a year left before its official implementation, giving relevant equipment manufacturers and the construction and operation teams at oil and gas fields enough time to study the details of the new standards in advance and prepare for material selection and equipment procurement. It should also be noted that for such professional standards related to compliance, one must rely on the official national standard texts issued by authorities; do not trust unofficial interpretations.
