Several heat exchangers in our facility are suspected to have internal leaks. However, due to the very small amount of leakage and the large size of these devices, it would be too costly to disassemble each one and use water pressure testing to detect leaks, and the accuracy of such testing methods is also uncertain. Are there any companies that can conduct helium leak detection on-site, using helium to identify which equipment is leaking, after which we disassemble the equipment; and once it’s disassembled, we use helium again to locate the exact point of leakage so that it can be sealed up. I was wondering if any of you who work in this field have any recommendations for such testing agencies. Alternatively, if any testing agencies come across this message, they might be interested in visiting the site; the construction location is in Guangdong. If interested, we can consider cooperating!
What are the media used in heat exchangers? Process parameters such as condensate temperature should also be provided; there are other methods available for regular monitoring using instrumented woodpecker devices, and the key factor is the process medium.
