Connection between slide and tube sheet

When a slide is provided for a withdrawable tube bundle, how should one decide whether to weld the slide to the tube sheet or not?
Following the example given in the new version 151, welding of the skid plate and tube sheet is allowed. I generally don’t use it that way though; welding additional components onto the official board doesn’t seem like a good idea, and there are also low-temperature conditions involved. Although standards permit welding, it’s better to avoid it if possible
We usually do not weld to the tube sheet, but rather to the baffle plates or support plates
Same as above. It is usually chosen to be welded to the support plate.
The manufacturer reported that the distance from the tube sheet to the first baffle is a bit large, resulting in insufficient stiffness of the tube bundle during lifting. Hope it can be extended to tube sheet welding
