The original horizontal condenser has been replaced with a vertical one; the heat exchange surface remains essentially the same. It’s not clear whether this has any impact； The device structure remains unchanged; they are all one-way.
As long as there is no hydrostatic pressure within the gas, it is sufficient; only an exhaust valve needs to be installed on the head at the highest point.

If the material being cooled is a liquid, an exhaust valve must also be installed at the highest point; otherwise, the inability to discharge gas will reduce the heat exchange area.
The gas inlet at the top is quite large; if it can’t be cooled, will it get carried away? The exhaust valve isn’t working!
The exhaust valve installed at the highest point on the water side top is intended to prevent gas from occupying space in that area. They affect water flow or occupy the heat exchange area.
Are you referring to the exhaust vent for the cooling water?
Why? How much magnification is needed?
