For vertical types, where the highest or lowest point is on the tube sheet, an opening is provided on the tube sheet, usually in the form of a 90-degree right-angled passage.

Whether GB150 or GB151 specifies that exhaust and drainage ports should be installed at the highest and lowest points depends on whether it is possible to fit them between the bolt holes of the tube sheet.
