The first three letters in the specification code of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger represent, in sequence, the front-end structure, the shell structure, and the rear-end structure. First: BIU B: Headed tube sheet; I: U-tube heat exchanger (this is how it is denoted in GB151-1999, while it has been removed from GB/T151-2014); U: U-tube bundle. Second: BFU B: Headed tube sheet; F: Double-shell shell with longitudinal partitions; U: U-tube bundle. Third: AES A: Flat-headed tube sheet; E: Single-pass shell; S: Hooked floating head. The difference between the fourth type and the third lies in the first letter: B represents a headed tube sheet. The numbers that follow indicate the equipment specifications, design pressure, heat exchange area, length of the heat exchange tubes, specifications of those tubes, and the number of passages. 200mm indicates that the spacing between the baffle plates is 200mm.
