The heat exchanger nameplate indicates details such as the design pressure for the tube side and the pressure rating for pressure testing – what is the difference between these? If a pressure test is conducted after the heat exchanger is shut down for maintenance, which pressure should be considered? Please share your thoughts

The nameplate should indicate the operating pressure, design pressure, and test pressure. If suppressing pressure is involved, it will definitely be based on the experimental pressure; when in use, the pressure should not exceed the allowable operating pressure.
