How can you tell whether the new heat exchanger tube bundle has been pickled?
Can you tell by the appearance? As soon as our workshop director saw this heat exchanger, he said that it had not been pickled before the factory. Just when I was about to ask him what he thought, he went to work elsewhere.
If the surface of the product turns matte silvery white, it has generally been pickled and passivated. The second step is to judge by corrosion resistance tests: such as neutral salt spray test, blue point test and simple soaking in salt water.
The color of the elbow area is still there, and it is very likely that it was passivated without pickling.
After doing hygienic pickling, take a photo before and after pickling, and you will have your answer. Note: Wear gloves when pickling, and be sure to protect your eyes and wear a protective mask.
See if it is bright and beautiful. The welds have been washed white, so it means it has been washed. But it doesn’t look like it in this picture.
