Cooling smelting slag to obtain hot air

Who has conducted theoretical research on using cooled smelting slag to obtain hot air? I have questions and would like to ask for advice!
There are two methods for cooling smelting slag: air cooling and water cooling. Air cooling is currently a challenge on an international scale, with hardly any existing time or experience related to it. Water cooling technology is quite mature at present, but it generates water vapor rather than hot air; I’m not sure which type you are referring to
By wind cooling, I mean cooling by air, but not rapid cooling.
The rotary kiln grate balling process makes use of hot air for ring cooling
