I’ve been struggling with a problem lately: I plan to use a coiled-tube heat exchanger made of 2205 material, with calcium chloride solution as the refrigerant. Worrying about whether the material can be used: calcium chloride solution concentration of 20%, temperature of -10℃

2205 duplex molybdenum stainless steel, resistant to Cl- ion corrosion, suitable for calcium chloride solutions (CL-). Using carbon steel is dangerous.
Calcium chloride is nothing but the freezing brine commonly used in chemical plants; there’s no issue at all using carbon steel pipes for it – it has been in use for decades
For material selection, either 2205 duplex steel or carbon steel SA179 should work; duplex steel is more expensive
