Winter is approaching, and it is possible to make use of the waste heat from the smoke and wastewater in factories to generate hot water or thermal energy for various purposes such as daily use, production processes, showering, and heating the factory buildings. What are some good waste heat recovery systems available currently?

For this comprehensive waste heat utilization, there is basically no fixed device that can achieve everything. The principle is the same; it’s just the system that differs, and in some cases a secondary heat source is required. It depends on the operating conditions and requirements. Basically, each site is a separate design.
Flue gas can be used to preheat the combustion air, saving fuel. Wastewater can exchange heat with recycled water, which can then be used for heating or showering. @zhanghouqing
Finned tubes are used for the waste heat from flue gas, while plate heat exchangers are used for the waste heat from wastewater! :)
