Pulp cooking refers to the pulping process in which papermaking raw materials and cooking liquor are placed in a cooker and heated with steam to remove the non-cellulosic components of the fiber material. The black liquor produced during papermaking boiling has a high calorific value and good flammability, making it an important indigenous energy source in the paper industry. During this period, all moisture is removed and it is completely dried using some type of blower. A part of the paper machine also uses a heat exchanger known as a waste heat recovery system, which is one of the ways in which heat exchangers can help paper mills save energy, resources, and money. Waste heat recovery is a waste heat recovery system. It can absorb heat and moisture from the room for reuse, without placing additional strain on the energy sources that are typically used to supply air and water for paper processing.
