It may be used during maintenance, purging, and cooking; it can bypass the check valve； Also, when the check valve is damaged and needs repair or replacement, it is possible to switch to this bypass line, allowing work to be carried out without shutting down the equipment ； Also, if the diameter of this cross-line pipe is very small, it can be used solely to adjust the flow rate (for situations where a low flow rate is required) ； There are also cases where the inlet is a negative-pressure device, allowing materials to be drawn in across the line in order to remove other substances from within the pump. They are all my own ideas for reference only
It’s likely there’s a problem with the main pipeline valve – it may need to be repaired, or the flow of the medium might not be sufficient; in that case, the bypass should be used to manually supply the medium.
When the pump is stopped, the resistance in the inlet pipeline increases, the flow velocity decreases, and the pressure rises, resulting in water hammer. The bypass check valve operates in the same direction as the pump, so the water flows through the bypass.
