We need 2 plate exchangers. Could you please advise on how to select and calculate them? Is it possible to calculate the exact area, dimensions, and weight? I. Heat medium side: Inlet temperature: 90°C, outlet temperature: 85°C 4. Material to be heated: Ethylene glycol solution (38.5%) 5. Material side: Inlet temperature: 80°C℃ ; Outlet temperature: 85°C 6. Flow direction: Counterflow 7. Inlet and outlet flanges: DN65 II. Cold plate exchanger: 1 unit (material: S30408; sealing strip: EPDM) 1. Heat transfer capacity: 7.5x105 kj/h 2. Refrigerant: Chilled water (38.5% ethylene glycol solution) 3. Refrigerant side: Inlet temperature: -15°C, Outlet temperature: -10°C 4. Material to be cooled: Ethylene glycol solution (38.5%) 5. Material side: Inlet temperature: -5℃ ; Outlet temperature: -10°C. 6. Flow pattern: Counterflow. 7. Inlet and outlet flanges: DN65. III. Material circulation pump: Q=35 m³/h, H=30 m. IV. Based on the data you provided, I can immediately help you make a selection; however, your specified heat transfer rate seems too low—3.8×10⁵ kJ/h translates to only 0.11 kW of heat transfer capacity. Therefore, this value might not be accurate, as 3600 kJ/h equals 1 kW. It would be best if we could discuss what the actual flow rates on the primary and secondary sides are.
