Therefore, installing limit bolts at both ends of the expansion joint can prevent it from exceeding the specified displacement range, thereby ensuring the safety of the expansion joint and related equipment. If limit bolts are not installed, the expansion joint may experience excessive stretching or compression during use, which can lead to equipment damage or system failure. Therefore, we strongly recommend installing restraining bolts at both ends of the expansion joint in shell-and-tube heat exchangers to ensure the safety and proper operation of the system. .
The bolts shown in the diagram are likely used during transportation; they need to be removed after the heat exchanger is installed.
