The four-in-one refrigerated air dryer is a patented product of the refrigerated air dryer design. It includes a pre-cooler (air-air plate-fin heat exchanger), an evaporator (air-refrigerant plate-fin heat exchanger), and a stainless steel wire mesh gas-liquid separation filter. This module has four functions: pre-cooling, cooling, separation, and filtering. The four-in-one horizontal refrigerated air dryer also has an insulating layer on its exterior, whose function is to reduce heat loss and increase the efficiency of heat utilization. Schematic diagram of the structure of the four-in-one horizontal refrigerated air dryer. Schematic diagram of the structure of the four-in-one vertical refrigerated air dryer. The function of the air-air pre-cooling heat exchanger is to make full use of energy (cold air energy) and to prevent dew from forming on the outer wall of the pre-cooler. The four-in-one heat exchanger combines an air-air pre-cooling heat exchanger with an air-refrigerant heat exchanger; there are no pipes between them, resulting in a more compact design. Thus, this reduces the size of this module. Both the precooler and the evaporator are aluminum vacuum brazed plate-fin heat exchangers, which possess many advantages over the shell-and-tube heat exchangers found in conventional refrigerated air dryers: 1. Plate-fin heat exchangers have a larger heat transfer area, resulting in higher efficiency of the exchanger ; 2. Generally speaking, the heat transfer area density of plate-fin heat exchangers can reach 1500 m2/m3, whereas that of shell-and-tube heat exchangers is only 160 m2/m3 ; 3. The heat transfer coefficient of plate-fin heat exchangers is 5-10 times higher than that of shell-and-tube heat exchangers. Cross-sectional view of the four-in-one horizontal refrigerated air dryer. Cross-sectional view of the four-in-one vertical refrigerated air dryer. The main principle of the air-water separator is to separate oil and water based on the difference in weight between gases and liquids, as well as on the inertia resulting from changes in gas direction and speed. The mesh filter is made of steel mesh and its function is to filter the air once again in order to improve its drying efficiency. Features and advantages: Compact design – reduces the overall size of the air dryer – **significantly decreases the volume of refrigerant. Efficient thermal performance and low pressure drop minimize power consumption. The price is reasonable. Easy to maintain, long service life. Fully compatible with most refrigerants.
