The Solex solvent-free crystallizer is a proprietary platecoil type of static melt crystallizer that utilizes the process of crystals forming on the cooling surfaces of the crystallization plates as a stationary molten mixture solidifies, thereby enabling stepwise crystallization and ultimately the purification of one or more components in the mixture. Since no solvent is used in the crystallization and separation process, it is called a Solex solvent-free crystallizer.
The Solex solvent-free crystallizer cools the molten mixture using plate-type cooling walls, allowing a crystal layer to form on its surface; this enables step-by-step purification of the product without the use of any solvents. .
