When selecting bearings for equipment such as fans and pumps, how are the floating end and the fixed end determined? Are there any relevant documents or materials available? For example, in some fans the impeller side is the floating end. Why is the impeller side chosen as the floating end? Is there any information on this topic? Generally, cantilever types are chosen for fans and pumps with lower flow rates, in order to save space, reduce costs, and facilitate maintenance.
