Whether for conveying in a natural environment, during drying, or cleaning, belt conveyors should be equipped with basic functions such as speed control, tension adjustment, and emergency stop. Additional features include sensing, intermittent operation, remote control, and alarm functions. Among these, speed control and tensioning, as well as emergency stop, are the most important elements and constitute the basic features of belt conveyors. Nowadays, for speed control and tensioning, inductive speed control and automatic tensioning systems are often used. Only by having these can it be a proper belt conveyor.
