An assembly line is industrial production equipment; without it, industrial production cannot improve efficiency. There are four principles for selecting an assembly line layout. 1. Choose the assembly line to consider advanced principles. Select the assembly line layout to take reliability and safety principles into account. Reliability and safety are the main factors determining the quality of assembly line production. Reliability refers to the ability of an assembly line to perform its required functions, which is the timeliness stability and functional integrity of such a line. But the higher the reliability, the more you need to consider the cost. Safety requirements for assembly lines: When using an assembly line, it is necessary to ensure the safety of personnel and products, while minimizing any impact on the environment (in compliance with environmental regulations regarding noise and pollution). 4. Select the assembly line to consider the principle of suitability. This is to enable the assembly line to deliver products, including adaptability and practicality. When a company purchases an assembly line, it must take into full account the actual needs of production operations. Based on the characteristics of the products and their manufacturing capabilities, an assembly line should be selected that can be operated flexibly and easily under different working conditions. Practicality involves the correct selection of assembly line functions. It’s not the case that the more powerful it is, the better; in practical use, it doesn’t require many functions. If it can’t be utilized fully, it will lead to a waste of resources and funds. Similarly, too few functions can lead to inefficiency. Therefore, based on the actual circumstances, select the functions of the assembly line equipment appropriately.
