The flexible metal hose is used at the inlet and outlet of centrifugal pumps, where the temperature does not exceed 180° and the pressure ranges from -0.1 Mpa to 0.2 Mpa. Its length is 150 mm, and its specifications are DN65, DN50, DN40, DN32, and DN25. The main component is made of 2205 material, while the flexible metal hose part was originally lined with PTFE using 304 material, which is not suitable for handling negative pressures. Considering the material of the main component, the flexible metal hose part has now also been made of 2205 material. After contacting various suppliers by phone, it was confirmed that except for the DN65 size, the others cannot be manufactured. The cost of using alternatives to C276 is too high. I’ve also considered using desulfurized rubber as a substitute, but it’s not possible to line it with steel rings. Dear seniors, do you have any better suggestions to solve this problem?

Material 2205 is rarely used; 304 or 316 are the ones that are commonly used. The pipes inside are also very thin, about 0.3 in thickness. The negative pressure is quite high; will a flexible rubber joint work in this case? But that height is different. Material of rubber joint
