Discussion on filter element materials

For our filter elements, we generally use glass fiber; some manufacturers require stainless steel, but it is said that stainless steel can mainly filter out impurities at the center, while it is less effective at removing those in elongated shapes. Apart from these two materials, what other common materials are used for filter elements? Everyone is welcome to share their opinions
Depending on the usage environment, a variety of materials are used; special cases involve double-layer stainless steel, titanium, and so on

The filtering efficiency does not depend on the material itself, but rather on the way in which the filtering element is structured; for example, single-layer, regularly woven structures are not effective at removing long and thin impurities, while those made from sintered powders have more complex channels that help to block such impurities. 3.
