Regular cleaning is a necessary condition to ensure the proper operation of flexible chain conveyor systems, but this is only possible if the cleaning is done correctly; otherwise, it amounts to wasted effort. Here are some precautions for cleaning flexible chain conveyors, shared with you: 1. Before cleaning a flexible chain conveyor, wear the appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety helmets, safety shoes, and reflective clothing. 2. The flexible chain conveyor to be cleaned must be stopped in a designated safe location with adequate lighting. 3. Cleaning the debris from the chain plates of the flexible chain conveyor is carried out during the late-night shift, when there are fewer garbage trucks available. 4. No one is allowed to enter the mechanical control room while cleaning the chain plates of the flexible chain conveyor. 5. When cleaning the chain plates of a flexible chain conveyor, it is strictly prohibited to use a crowbar to insert it into the holes of the track links and then move the conveyor back and forth mechanically in order to loosen the tightly packed waste. 6. Cleaning the chain plates of the flexible chain conveyor should be carried out by two people working together: one person uses a crowbar to loosen the plates, while the other uses a rake to remove the loosened debris. Both people should not use the crowbar at the same time, to avoid injuring each other due to the limited working space. 7. To clean the flexible chain conveyor, if it is necessary to lift the front end, place the shovel blade in position and press the control lever downward. Once the oil cylinder of the shovel blade is extended to its fullest extent, lock the control lever, turn off the engine, and only after leaving the control room can the chain plates be cleaned. 8. After cleaning the chain plates of the flexible chain conveyor, use a forklift to remove the scattered or piled-up waste, keeping the area where the chain plates are cleaned clean. 9. To ensure the optimal performance of flexible chain conveyors in all aspects, we cannot focus solely on their use; rather, we must pay attention to their maintenance as well. Only in this way can flexible chain conveyors be utilized more effectively.
