For the estimation of equipment investment, aside from the fact that the cost of equipment and materials is easy to calculate, how is the cost of equipment processing generally estimated based on the cost of materials? For example: What is the typical processing cost for stainless steel equipment and atmospheric pressure storage tank equipment? How much is the processing cost for pressure vessels generally? What is the processing cost for titanium pressure vessels? What is the processing cost for nickel equipment? What is the processing cost for zirconium equipment?
Depending on the complexity, processing difficulty, and volume of work, for simple shapes such as tanks, the material cost is between 20% and 50% of the total cost; for pressure vessels, it can be 3 to 5 times higher, while for high-speed equipment, it might be several dozen times higher: lol
For ordinary, uncomplicated equipment operating at atmospheric pressure, material costs account for around 40% of the manufacturing cost; for pressure vessels, an individual assessment is required based on the equipment’s structure and the processing techniques used.
